Children's author, poet and writing teacher, Amy Ludwig VanDerwater is spending the day at the TRA, speaking to students about her writing process and giving them tools to use when they write poetry.

The 4th and 5th graders have been very excited about her visit. The fourth grade collaborated on a display that features Mrs. Ludwig Van Derwater's book, "With My Hands." Ms. Snook's class also created a "poem quilt", which includes poems the students wrote themselves.
